FIRST AID FOR CHILD DAY CARE PERSONNEL - A comprehensive 6 hour first aid curriculum designed specifically for child care personnel is available. This course was developed in cooperation with the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services and satisfies the first aid requirements specified by child care licensing rules. EMS instructors, registered nurses and physicians are eligible to teach the course. The links located at the right will direct you to the entire First aid for Child Care Personnel training manual. The links below will direct you to six PowerPoint presentations which correspond to the six training modules in the manual. Please use the PowerPoint presentation along with the trainer notes found in the manual. There are no slides or transparencies available from the EMSC office, however there is no copyright on the materials and you may download and copy the electronic slides for your use. FIRST AID FOR CHILD DAY PERSONNEL TRAINER LIST - Train-the-trainer meetings were conducted throughout Ohio in 1999-2000 in order to establish a network of trainers to provide convenient and affordable first aid training to child care center personnel. A list of trainers who have completed the training may be viewed and downloaded here. The list is grouped by Ohio child care licensing regions and is sorted by city.
