EMERGENCY GUIDELINES FOR SCHOOLS - [EMS 5930] The Guidelines were created as basic, "what to do in an emergency" information when the school nurse is not available. They contain color-coded, first-aid flowcharts for commonly occurring childhood injuries and illnesses. The Guidelines are for use by school systems and child care centers.

EMTs AND INJURY PREVENTION: ADVOCATES FOR CHILDREN - This publication provides help for EMTs who want to become involved in primary injury prevention activities. The objective is to provide specific information for EMTs to plan, implement and evaluate community based injury prevention projects.

OHIO RECOMMENDED MINIMUM PEDIATRIC PROTOCOLS - The Ohio recommended protocols were developed by the Regional Physicians Advisory Board in conjunction with the Ohio EMSC Program. CHAD (Children Have an iDentity) Stickers - [EMS 0057] This safety seat child identification program was developed as a result of a traffic crash involving a 13-month old boy named Chad. The babysitter who had been driving was killed. Chad was injured, but no one at the scene knew his identity. These bright green stickers may help ensure rapid identification of a child by law enforcement and EMS.
