The Division of EMS is responsible for the education, certification and investigation of emergency medical service and fire service providers in Ohio. The division serves as the administrative arm of the State Board of Medical, Fire and Transportation Services Board, which is made up of medical, nursing, hospital administration and EMS and fire service professionals. It is our mission to develop and continually enhance a statewide, comprehensive, systematic response to injury, illness and fire, primarily through education, training, certification and strategic planning.
