Notice of Policy for Obtaining a Link on the EMS Web Site Below is the policy regarding links from the EMS web site. EMS reserves the right to modify this policy at any time without prior notice. The purpose of the EMS web site is to provide information to the public concerning emergency medical services, including care of and response to injury, illness, and fire. Qualification Criteria Any of the following entities may obtain a link from the EMS web site: 1. EMS provider organizations; 2. ACS verified trauma centers; 3. Professional health care societies or trauma care organizations involved in injury care, prevention, or research; 4. Vendors of data-collection software that specifically pertains to trauma and emergency medical services. 5. Government agencies primarily dedicated to issues of safety and health. In addition to the above qualifications,
any entity providing emergency medical services must be in compliance with all applicable
statutory and regulatory requirements in order to qualify for, or maintain, a link. 1. Each entity must complete a link application and submit it electronically to EMS. 2. Within 14 business days of receiving a link application, EMS will notify the entitys contact person of the status of such application. 3. All links to the EMS web site are limited to a uniform size and shall not include additional information other than a hot-link identifying the entitys name with the link. Having a link on the EMS web site does not in any way confer endorsement of the entity by EMS. 4. EMS shall determine whether an entity meets the qualification criteria listed in this policy when deciding whether to approve a link on the EMS web site. If EMS discovers that a linked entity no longer meets the qualification criteria, EMS shall remove such link and entity from its web site. |
